I am grateful you are here in my tiny piece of the interwebs…

I’m Melissa, and I’ve been a professional photographer since 2007, and specialize in capturing humans in their most human form where I try to squeeze out as much emotion and realness as possible to yield something that is timeless and so completely genuine.

I am originally an East Texas girl, but spent my college years in Oklahoma where I earned my BS in Marketing. Soon after graduation in 2005, I returned to my home state and made Austin home. After a few failed attempts at working “for the man”, I quickly learned I am not meant to work for anyone! In my search for my future career, I reconnected with a camera my mother gifted me for my 20th birthday… I started shooting for friends, upgraded my old school Pentax K1000 to my first digital camera ever, and officially opened shop in May 2007. I captured over 400 weddings, thousands of families, hundreds of boudoir sessions, and a wide variety of businesses. My camera has allowed me to travel all over the world capturing ad campaigns and weddings.

In December 2025, I made the exciting decision to make the major move to Greenville, South Carolina. I was ready for a change… ready for cooler temperatures… ready to be close to the mountains… and ready to be a bit closer to family. I am so excited for what is to come and am already in love with my new city. In my free time I enjoy gardening, cooking, learning about wine, exploring new cities, and snuggling my two adorable pups, Nolte and Zaza!

I truly am so excited for the chance to get to capture you, your family, your team, or anything else you may need. I can’t wait to work with the people of The Carolinas!
